Burn (Book Three) By E.L Todd

Book Information
Author: E.L Todd
Release date: October 11, 2016
Genre: Romance
Rating: 4 Stars

Now we get some action and a little conclusion to the whirlwind of emotions that I have endured.  Book three is better than book two, but not quite up the ranks as book one.  This book picks up where book two ends with Taylor and Volt at her parents for Thanksgiving.  In this book, Taylor finally learns of Volt's true feelings and the book takes off from there.  I have to admit that they make a cute couple and all of their sweetness gives me cavities. Muahhh.!!!  Anyways, Volt finally admits his feelings and Taylor acknowledges hers as well.  Now you would think that after such a long time that Volt and Taylor would get it on, right?  If you thought so, the you would be incorrect. It took them about half of the book to get it on and when they do get it on, it takes about five pages to do it.  The one thing that I love about E.L Todd is her love scenes in her books, but the love scenes in this book were so cheesy and, like I said before, it takes approximately 5 pages to insert the key. You got me?

Just when I thought we were getting to the big reveal, a trial is thrown in with their relationship.  The blurb for the next book gives away the status of their relationship though, so I feel like the fact that they will be back together is not a spoiler.  Another thing is the fact that Volt is really creepy in this book.  He talks on and on about Taylor and how perfect she is and it is on the borderline of being obsession.  I really do not have a lot to say about this book because it was good but I could do without the lengthy love scenes..

Riding Hard by Laura Landish

Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
