A True Cowboy Christmas

Author:  Caitlyn Crews Date Released :  October 30, 2018 I went backwards with this series because I actually read book 2 titled "Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy" back in 2019 and when I chose this book I had no idea that it was a part of the same series. Weird.. The book that we are gathered here to review is "A True Cowboy Christmas" and it tells the story of Abby and Gray Everett.  Gray Everett does not believe in love based on a failed marriage and think Abby will be the perfect and practical wife to share his life and ranch with.  You lovers do know how that always ends right?  It was a little cliché, but I am always down or up for love. Let's jump into it.  As I stated before, Gray has ranching in his blood and has just buried his very abusive father.  Gray has a teenage daughter and who also happens to be a widow.  Gray has realized that he needs a family for his daughter and an eternal partner.  A marriage without love makes sense right?...

Born to Be A Cowboy by R.C. Ryan

Author: R.C Ryan Release Date:  November 26, 2019 Every time I read a book from this series, I always get hungry.   I don't know if this author was a cookbook author before, but she sure knows how to describe food. Yumm!!   Anyways, we are here to talk about the youngest of the Boys and his name is Finn Monroe. He was the quiet one of the bunch and his quiet, peaceful world is about to be turned upside down when Jessie enters his office   asking for help. Jessie is afraid that her aunt is in serious trouble and she has traveled from another town to enlist Finn's legal counsel.   The story starts off with Jessie busting into Finn's office seeking help for her aunt. I instantly felt chemistry and I like the touch of mystery and thrill throughout this story. Jessie's aunt has been swooned by a sweet talking cowboy and Jessie thinks that she is in trouble.   She has traveled hundreds of miles to enlist Finn's help and Finn is willing the help her....

A Cowboy for Christmas by Sara Richardson

Author:  Sara Richardson Release Date: October 29, 2019 Christmas is a wonderful time of the year and Christmas romance novels are even better.  I have read every book in the Rocky Mountain series and for the most part, it has kept me entertained with its hot cowboys and great heart felt stories.  This story is a little different because it takes place during Christmas and it jumps right in the middle of Darla and Tye's relationship.  Darla and Tye have a friends with benefits type of relationship, but what happens when someone catches feelings and thing get messy?  Well, let's find out without spoilers, of course. Tye is a bull rider and Darla owns a chocolate and wine shop in Topaz Falls. Topaz Falls is such a quant small town where everyone knows and helps everybody. Country Nights by Winter Renshaw

Author:  Winter Renshaw Release Date:  June 25, 2017 What a charming little story.!  My attention was caught instantly from the first page and how the heroine broke up wither her ex-boyfriend. Bad chick style.!! It showed how strong she was and I was glad to see her find love again.  This book automatically gets points for being about a cowboy and the cover is absolutely hot.  Also, for all of my Fifty Shades of Grey   fans, there is a line from the book in this story, but make no mistake, River is no Christian. ;) River and Leighton was an adventure for sure and I was there for it.   Leighton is a victim of an internet scam and she shows up at River's house under the assumption that she will rent her former childhood home for 60 days to reflect on her life.   Instead of arriving with a warm welcome, she is faced with the hot and broody River, who is happy to inform her that she was scammed out of $5000.   With nowhere else to g...

That Second Chance by Meghan Quinn

Author:  Meghan Quinn Release Date:  May 7, 2019 My emotions are in complete disarray right now because I have just read one of the most wonderful, intense small town love story ever. This book was amazing and it gave me zings up my spine.  I am a true romance reader fanatic and when I read a book that toys with my emotions and pulls under that means that it is GOOOOOD!  I have no complaints about this book and come on, they have hot sex on a beach!! It doesn't getter hotter than that.!  I loved the characters and I loved the setting of the story and the small town seemed so real.  I also loved Griffin and Ren together and their chemistry was off the charts.  For Pete's sake, the prologue pulled me in and it involved a palm reader from New Orleans.  The one thing that carried this story was the family dynamic and I absolutely loved the relationship that Griffin had with his brothers.  This is going to be a short review because ...

Cowboy to The Rescue by A.J. Pine

Author:  A.J. Pine Release Date:   September 3, 2019 The book has committed the ultimate sin in the book lover's world.  This book has teased me and left me yearning for more and it does not feel good either.  I want more of this couple and most importantly, I want me a firefighter cowboy to boot.  One my favorite authors, A.J Pine, has done it again and I cannot wait until the next book in the Meadow Valley series is released.  I'm so excited, can you tell??? Okay, okay..calm down girlie, you have to tell the good people what you think of the book.  Okay inside voice, here I go.!!! Summer on Moonlight Bay by Hope Ramsay

Author:  Hope Ramsay Release Date: August 6, 2019 I am really touched by the hard work and the emotional journey that the author has gone through to complete this book. And for that I am proud to have read this story because I am a fan of Hope Ramsay.  With that being said, it is going to be a pain to write a honest review because I really wanted this to be a 5 Star, but unfortunately, this story did not quite meet that rating and I will tell you why. Summer on Moonlight Bay is a love story between a vet and a veterinarian.   Lia is a veteran from the Navy and she is a rolling stone looking for a place to call home.   She goes to the lovely town of Magnolia Harbor in hopes of experiencing the small town in all its glory, that's according to the charming tales that her former Navy Chaplain, Micah St. Pierre, has told her about.   On the other hand, there is Noah who can't get away from his small town fast enough.   They bond over a sweet pupp...

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews

Author:  Caitlin Crews Release Date:  July 30, 2019 I have never read a book that has made such a turnaround like this book has before in my life. I am going to be completely honest with you and say that I was ready to quit this book and move on to the next one. My momma didn't raise no quitter but I was ready to defy my teachings and be done with this cowboy.   This story had a great premise and it instantly made me interested.   A cowboy with no memory of the last two years and falling in love all over again? Count me in and I dove head first in this story with the expectation of being entertained. Honey, was I wrong.!!! First let me start off by telling you about this flip flop story because the blurb grabs you for sure and most importantly, there is a hot cowboy to boot.   Tye is a bull rider who was in a terrible accident with a 2,000 pound bull and has lost his memory for the last two years.   Imagine his surprise when a beautiful b...

Home at Chestnut Creek by Laura Drake

Author:  Laura Drake Release Date: July 2. 2019 This is gradually becoming my favorite author.   This book was such a new take on romance and it was exhilarating and refreshing. This is book two of the Chestnut Creek Series and just like the first one, I loved it.   There is something great to be said for an author who takes a risk of writing a romance with the hero being a Native American and do it very tastefully.   This story is about Nevada Sweet, who from book one, is a raunchy, tough woman with a heart of gold.   If you read book 1 then you know that Nevada was the cook from the food truck that Carly worked at temporarily.   Nevada Sweet is on the run from the drug cartel and she arrives in the small town of Unforgiven to hide out for a while.   But she wasn't counting on meeting Fish, the Navajo cook with a huge heart and even bigger muscles.   Fiercely independent, Nevada does not stand for charity or free rent, so Fish off...

The Last True Cowboy by Laura Drake

Author:  Laura Drake Release Date: December 4, 2018 I actually did not expect to like this book as much as I did.   It was refreshing and unexpectantly grounded.   This book started off with childhood sweethearts, Carly and Austin.   Carly has had it up to here with Austin and his rodeo adventures and she is ready for a wedding. Austin is quite ready to hang up his saddle from the rodeo just yet. Carly finally gets a backbone and breaks up with Austin, but in the process she makes a hug mistake? Is it too late for Austin to save his relationship with Carly? Well, let's find out. You see, Carly and Austin are childhood lovers and Carly is waiting for the life changing question.   While Carly runs her grandparents diner, Austin is a bull rider in his prime.   Carly and Austin are the town sweethearts and everyone in town just know that they will be together forever.   Lately, Carly has been reassessing her life and their relationship...

Forever My Hero by Sharon Sala

Author:  Sharon Sala Release Date: February 26, 2019 What a great story teller!!! Sharon Sala tells such great, inspiring stories and the town of Blessings felt so real and grounded. I have most of the books in the series and for the most part, I have surely enjoyed this small town. Each installment in the series involves a different couple from the small community.  This installment involves recently widowed, Alice, and the Dallas cowboy, Dan.  This story lives true to its title because Dan is basically Superman undercover. I mean, Wow!! He did some pretty amazing things in the story and he was charming on top of it.  Recently widowed, Alice is a single mom to two children with a job in the local hardware store.  Dan and Alice share a deep connection with the loss of their spouse and after a series of unfortunate events, they connect on  deeper level than they both expected.  A ferocious hurricane is on the horizon and Dan has offered Alice...

Buck Wild by Lauren Landish

Author: Lauren Landish Release Date:  September 25, 2018 Welcome to 2019 my lovers.!!!   As you all may know, I love cowboys. No, not the football team (I do not like football), but I am talking about the hot, untamed, tall glass of "I reckon" bourbon, and brash talking cowboys. They are my favorite and this is my first one of 2019. Yayyyy!   I am so excited to speak with you guys again about my fav genre of romance.!! Let me proceed by doing my checklist for cowboys….Hot with a capital H?….check. Rough around the edges?….check..Southern charm that can melt your panties right off?...check.   It's safe to say that this cowboy meets all the qualifications. Now let's jump in this review. I am going to start off by saying that I really enjoyed myself reading this book and it was hilarious with its southern mannerisms.   This story is about a professional bull-rider named James who recently came back home for the summer after his father passed. I just wa...

The Cottage on Rose Lane

Author: Hope Ramsay Release Date: 12/4/2018 Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Hope Ramsay and I once had one of her books as my star reads.  So imagine my surprise when I heard that she was starting a new series. I rushed at the chance to get my hands on anything Hope related, but……. Yeah……I did not enjoy this story very much. 😔 As I stated before, this is a new series and the first installment is about Jenna, lonely woman who just inherited a huge chunk of money, and Jude, a sailor with a heart of gold who just wants to keep his culture and family land relevant.   Jenna has come to town to meet her long lost relatives when she eyes Jude in all of his sailor glory.   She boldly approaches him and ask for sailing lessons.   Completely thrown by this request, Jude reluctantly agrees and this pushes the story into motion.   The one interesting thing that I found out about this story is the race dynamic and the rich culture.   Jenna i...

Big Bad Cowboy by Carly Bloom

Author: Carly Bloom Release date: 10/30/2018 This book did one of the things that I do not like….having "cowboy" in the title without the hero "actually" being a cowboy. It annoys me to no end and it makes me pout because I love cowboy romances. They are the best and when I pick up a romance book that has cowboy in the title, I automatically get under my blankets because I need alone time. This made me throw my blankets on the floor and to proceed with putting my kindle away for the night. How disappointing.!  -_- Okay…I know that I have not posted a review in a while and I just wanted to let you know that I was going through a dry spell.   First off reading is a major part of my life, but these past 2 months have been blah!!   Enough about my life, let's get the review of B ig Bad Cowboy. First off, this is a masquerade, secret identity type of story with hot sex in   a shed involving little red riding hood and the big bad wolf.   I know righ...

Dear Santa by Nancy Naigle

Author:  Nancy Naigle Release Date: October 30, 2018 This story has a Hallmark channel feeling to it and unfortunately, I am not a fan.   Dear Sant a is about a small Christmas shop owner whose losing business thanks to a new super store in town owned by Geoff and his mother.  Their first unofficial meeting is in a local coffee shop and even though they did not exchange words, their smoldering looks was a great indicator of what was to come.  Angela has inherited a Christmas shop located inside of an old lighthouse from her grandma and she wants to keep her grandma's memory alive through this store.  Against the advice of her older sister, Angela decides to keep the store open even though it is hemorrhaging money. On the other hand, we have Geoff, a savvy business man with great success who enjoys the thrill of moving to a different city every year. This leads us to the main idea of the story which is the Dear Santa letters.  Of course they are deliv...

Why Not Tonight by Susan Mallery

Author:  Susan Mallery Release Date: September 18, 2018 T he only happiness that I felt from this story was when I had gotten to the last word on the last page. What a long and tedious road that I had to travel to get the last page. It took me quite awhile to finish this book which is not a good sign.  I actually took a break after reading this book because this book did not inspire me at all.  Well I guess I should give you a blurb, so here it goes. We have an art gallery office manager named Natalie and broody, glass artist named Ronan who ignorantly pursue   a sexual relationship after getting trapped in his house in the mountains.   To be completely honest with you, I thought this was a mountain man story, but I was sadly mistaken.   Anyways, Natalie works in the art gallery that sells his work and his brothers' work as well.   Ronan has been M.I.A for a couple of weeks and Natalie is sent to check up on him at the house on the hill o...

Come Back To Me by Sharon Sala

Author: Sharon Sala Release date: 08/28/2018 Sigh.!!!😄💨 Small town romances are among my favorite romance genres and Sharon Sala knows how to write said stories better than almost anyone else. This is book 6 in the Blessings, Georgia series and I have read 4 of these books.  This particular story revolves around Phoebe and Aidan, high school sweethearts whose lives were drastically changed after a fire.  This fire caused the two families to be at war with each other and caused the demise of Phoebe and Aidan's young love.  A death in the family brings Aidan back home 20 years later and he is met with a life changing surprise, a nineteen year old son.  As you can imagine, tensions run high when Aidan and Phoebe are faced with the mistakes of the past, but can they overcome it and focus on the future? The writing style of this author is multiple point of views and it allows different characters to contribute to the story. From Aidan to local tow...

Tough Luck Cowboy A.J Pine

Author: A.J. Pine Release Date: August 28, 2018 I just want to pack all of my things and move to this small town. What a joy it is to be a part of such an imaginative, grounded, and exciting world. A.J Pine has an astonishing way of creating a world that's both riveting and relatable.  I wasn't even sure if this book needed a review because I loved every second and everything that this book had to offer. Well I guess in the tradition of writing reviews that I have to at least give you a blurb of said book. This is book two in the Crossroads Ranch Series and it follows Luke, the middle brother of the bunch. Luke is a bull rider who is always the life of the party and he has a big secret that will ruin his friendship. There is also smart, feisty and ambitious Lily to balance out Luke and his shenanigans. Lily is the ex-wife of Luke's best friend and they have a great deal of dislike for each other or so we thought.   Luke and his brother is in the process of ope...

Bride Next Door by Hope Ramsay

Release date:  April 3, 2018 Author:  Hope Ramsay Rating:  3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐ I was so excited when this book was announced because I absolutely loved the other two books in the series.  Actually, "Small Town Bride" was one of my fav books of 2017 and the second installment, "Here Comes the Bride" was just as good.  Feel free to check out my reviews for these two books on my blog.  Did this book meet my expectations?  I had high hopes for this book because Courtney and Matt had great chemistry in the other two books and I just knew that their relationship would melt my kindle.  First, let me tell you a little about the story.   Courtney is the wedding planner of the small town and a renowned "ice queen".   Courtney has this little side assignment where she labels guys such as "Not so nice guy" or "Player", but she gets   a rude awakening when Matt comes along and knocks her on her heels.   Matt is sort of like the bad app...
