Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews

Author:  Caitlin Crews Release Date:  July 30, 2019 I have never read a book that has made such a turnaround like this book has before in my life. I am going to be completely honest with you and say that I was ready to quit this book and move on to the next one. My momma didn't raise no quitter but I was ready to defy my teachings and be done with this cowboy.   This story had a great premise and it instantly made me interested.   A cowboy with no memory of the last two years and falling in love all over again? Count me in and I dove head first in this story with the expectation of being entertained. Honey, was I wrong.!!! First let me start off by telling you about this flip flop story because the blurb grabs you for sure and most importantly, there is a hot cowboy to boot.   Tye is a bull rider who was in a terrible accident with a 2,000 pound bull and has lost his memory for the last two years.   Imagine his surprise when a beautiful blonde comes to his family

Home at Chestnut Creek by Laura Drake

Author:  Laura Drake Release Date: July 2. 2019 This is gradually becoming my favorite author.   This book was such a new take on romance and it was exhilarating and refreshing. This is book two of the Chestnut Creek Series and just like the first one, I loved it.   There is something great to be said for an author who takes a risk of writing a romance with the hero being a Native American and do it very tastefully.   This story is about Nevada Sweet, who from book one, is a raunchy, tough woman with a heart of gold.   If you read book 1 then you know that Nevada was the cook from the food truck that Carly worked at temporarily.   Nevada Sweet is on the run from the drug cartel and she arrives in the small town of Unforgiven to hide out for a while.   But she wasn't counting on meeting Fish, the Navajo cook with a huge heart and even bigger muscles.   Fiercely independent, Nevada does not stand for charity or free rent, so Fish offers her his grandmother's forme

The Last True Cowboy by Laura Drake

Author:  Laura Drake Release Date: December 4, 2018 I actually did not expect to like this book as much as I did.   It was refreshing and unexpectantly grounded.   This book started off with childhood sweethearts, Carly and Austin.   Carly has had it up to here with Austin and his rodeo adventures and she is ready for a wedding. Austin is quite ready to hang up his saddle from the rodeo just yet. Carly finally gets a backbone and breaks up with Austin, but in the process she makes a hug mistake? Is it too late for Austin to save his relationship with Carly? Well, let's find out. You see, Carly and Austin are childhood lovers and Carly is waiting for the life changing question.   While Carly runs her grandparents diner, Austin is a bull rider in his prime.   Carly and Austin are the town sweethearts and everyone in town just know that they will be together forever.   Lately, Carly has been reassessing her life and their relationship and has come to the conclusio

Emily March: Author Q & A

Emily March Blogger Q&A JACKSON 1.   You wrote a book! That’s pretty awesome. Why don’t you tell us a bit about what inspired Jackson and the rest of the books in the Eternity Springs world? The saying “Write what you know” says it all in my case. I’m a small-town girl and my family and friendships are center to my world. I write about love and family and friendships. I have roots in both the Colorado Rockies and the Texas Hill Country, so it was natural for me to set Eternity Springs and Redemption there. The idea for JACKSON grew out of my interest in the music currently being written and performed in Texas. I’ve always thought singer/songwriters are romantic figures so I was excited to create a hero with this background. Unfortunately, I’m not a musician and I’m definitely not a singer, but I am creative so it was fun for me to explore that aspect of a character. 2.   Introduce us to your main character! Okay. Well, Americana singer/songwriter Jackson McB

Jackson by Emily March Excerpt

Chapter One Excerpt Nashville, Tennessee Bang. The judge’s gavel fell and officially crushed Jackson McBride’s heart. He closed his eyes. Bleak despair washed over him. Up until this very moment, he hadn’t believed she’d take it this far. He’d thought she’d come to her senses. He’d thought she would recognize that this proposal was not only nonsense, but truly insane. He’d believed that somewhere deep inside of her, she still had a spark of humanity. That she wouldn’t do this to him. To them. He’d been wrong. Damn her. Damn her and the yes-men she surrounded herself with. Damn them all to hell and back. The enormity of what had just happened washed over him. Oh, God, how will I survive this? On the heels of his anguish came the rage. It erupted hot as lava, and it fired his blood and blurred his vision with a red haze of fury. He’d never hit a woman in his life. Never come close, despite plenty of provocation from her direction. In that moment had she been within

Jackson by Emily March

Author:  Emily March Release Date:  June 25, 2019 Right from the start this book grabbed me and I have never been so happy to be held hostage.  This book was wonderful and it made me feel so alive.  This is the feeling that I get when I read a good book and I just want to lay here and bask in its glory.  The romance, the drama, the rawness, and the superb writing hit every mark for me.  I have read one other book by this author and it was titled A Kiss of Spring and that was a 5 star read for me as well.  The writing flowed like water within a river bank and the characters were so charming and likeable.  I just finished reading this like 1 hour ago and I had to get my thoughts on paper ASAP.  I got that warm gooey feeling and that is sure sign that I am in love with this book.  Enough of my praising and blushing, now let me tell you about this story. If you are like me and started in the middle of the Eternity Springs Series, you have found a safe place because even t
