Cowboy to The Rescue by A.J. Pine

Author:  A.J. Pine
Release Date:   September 3, 2019

The book has committed the ultimate sin in the book lover's world.  This book has teased me and left me yearning for more and it does not feel good either.  I want more of this couple and most importantly, I want me a firefighter cowboy to boot.  One my favorite authors, A.J Pine, has done it again and I cannot wait until the next book in the Meadow Valley series is released.  I'm so excited, can you tell??? Okay, okay..calm down girlie, you have to tell the good people what you think of the book.  Okay inside voice, here I go.!!!

Ivy has suffered a major loss and has come back to her hometown to open her own fashion business.  Carter is newbie to town looking to place roots and he is also the firefighter lieutenant .  Both Ivy and Carter are facing hardships in this small town and they are two lost souls looking for love and connection. Ivy and Carter have great chemistry, but there is a problem.  Ivy's brother was a firefighter and he sadly died while saving civilians and being that Carter is a firefighter, Ivy is really scared to invest in  a relationship with anyone that serves in job that is dangerous such as a police office or firefighter.  I know that it sounds shallow, but once you read the book, you will have a better understanding of her choice.

This book really left me wanting more because I loved Ivy and Carter together.  Ivy was feisty and went for what she wanted while Carter had the biggest heart and I could not stop imagining him in his full firefighter uniform.  Pure Hotness.!!!  This story was about letting go of the past and letting love flow.  The only negative thing that I have to say about this book is that it did not have the powerful emotional connection that I was expecting from a book about loss and learning to love and let go.  I genuinely enjoyed this book and the writing in this book was phenomenal.! I am so looking forward to the Meadow Valley Series.

Riding Hard by Laura Landish

Author:  Laura Landish Release Date:   March 26, 2019 What is it about quiet, broody cowboys that drives us women wild?   Is it the foul mouth or the panty dropping tone?   Whatever it may be, it is in this book.   I think I lost my religion while reading this book because it was so dirty. Grrrr.!!   My inner cheetah, yes cheetah because they are my favorite cat, came out… 😻I mean Wow.!! Okay let’s get to the meat of this cowboy stew shall we. This is book 2 of the Bennett Boys Ranch series and this one is about the quiet, broody older brother, Mark.   I was so excited to read his story because he was so mysterious and who doesn't want to see a cowboy fall in love.   Hopefully you have read book 1 because I am about to drop a spoiler.   Okay…Mark's younger brother James from book 1 is getting married at   resort outside of town and this is where Mark meets Katelyn, an event coordinator.   Now I will not go t...

Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
