Ray of Light by E.L Todd

Author:  E.L Todd
Release Date: January 3, 2017
Genre:  Romance
Rating:  5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆

This book was Hilarious.!!! I laughed throughout the entire book.  E.L Todd just have that special way of writing that I have yet to see anywhere else.  I am a huge fan of Mrs. Todd and she has yet to disappoint me with her stories.  This story is about Rae and Ryker, his name is so hot.  Rae and Ryker meet after Rae's German shepherd runs to Ryker while they are on their walk.  Sparks fly, conversations takes place, and, Unfortunately, they go their separate ways.  Not expecting to see each other again, Rae was in for a huge surprise when she found out that Ryker is her brother's friend.  To skip a couple of details, Rae attempts to fight the attraction, but Ryker is not the one to take "no" for an answer.  The is also another relationship brewing and instead of giving Ryker's point of view, Mrs.. Todd surprises me and allows Rae's brother, Rex, to have a point of view in this story.

I just have to say that I love Rae as the heroine because she is smart, kind of sassy, funny, and not a pushover.  I connected with her as a character and these characters felt real. the relationship with her brother sweet and I can feel the love between the two. Ryker can take me home anytime because he is so hot.  Ryker as the hero is interesting because eventhough he comes off as an alpha, he is sweet to Rae, he does grand gestures, and their chemistry is off the charts.  I really want to know what happened to Ryker that made him cut off his emotions. I am really rooting for them and I cannot wait to read the next book.  I just really wish that the books were combined because that would have allowed the series to flow easier.

Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
