Lost Rider is about a former bull rider coming home to face his past after his abusive, dominant father dies.  With Maverick returning home means facing the girl that he left behind more than ten years ago.  Leighton had a huge teenage crush on Maverick before he left and with his return comes pain and sexual tension.  This story is a second-chance romance which are my favorite. These two together creates an electric spark and I was hoping that Maverick would win Leighton's heart.  Maverick and Leighton grew up together being that Leighton is Maverick's little sister's  best friend. Author:  E.L Todd Release date:  April 04, 2017 Rating:  3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐ Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of E.L Todd, but this book was not her best.  Not only was this book a huge love triangle, but the heroine is a gardening tool.  I wanted to say the other word, but I wanted to keep it clean for you all today. This is book 5, and hopefully the last, of the Ray series and it picks up with the cliff hanger of book 4.  Ryker is back in the picture and lends Rae his shoulder and other parts to cry on when Zeke reveals his big secret, which causes a huge rift in their relationship.  I really felt bad for Zeke in this book because he was really sympathetic for what he did to Rae.  I did not like the way Ryker was used, but I am glad to see his growth.  I really saw no reason for Rex's pov in this book besides showing how Zeke was dealing with everything.  He did not push the story along nor did he and Kayden offer anything t...

Author:  E.l Todd Release Date:  April 04, 2017 Rating:  4 Stars  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ray of Time is book 4 of the Ray series and it evolves around Rae and her brother Rex as they find love and learn to deal with the trials that comes with it. I enjoyed myself while reading this book, even though I hated who she ended up with.  I was very biased while reading this book because in book three, Rae ended up with Zeke.  I was furious because I was so emotionally vested in the story and the author throws a hammer at my head by including Zeke and his feelings for Rae.  Book four is no different because it picks up about two weeks after Rae and Zeke admit their feelings for each other and the bedroom heats all the way up.  In this book, Rae and Zeke had good chemistry, but all they did was have hot, sweaty sex.  Now don't get me wrong, I love hot sex in romance books, but when the entire story is sex, sex, and more sex it takes away the enjoyment of...

Author:  Kianna Alexander Release Date: April 4, 2017 Rating:  3 Stars ☆☆☆ I was really stuck between the 2 star and 3 rating scale because this book was hard for me to finish.  The writing was okay and the plot was present, but this book just dragged on for me.   Maybe it’s the fact that the hero is so perfect and their second chance at love came too easily, but nothing about this book excited me.  This book tells the story of Xavier, who is an accountant, politician wannabe, youth center volunteer and Imani, who is a dermatologist.  They were high school sweethearts, but were broken up when Xavier decided to "see" what life was like in college without a girlfriend. Fast forward ten years, Xavier and Imani see each other again at a wedding of their best friends and sparks fly like fireworks.  The main event in this story is the fact that Imani has this "huge" secret that will ruin Xavier's chances of becoming a member of the city council....

Author:  J.S Scott Released: March 7, 2017 Rating: 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was jumping for joy when this book was released because I could not wait to read Julian's story.  Now, I have read all five books in this series and I do not think that she ever wrote a story as naughty as this one in the entire series.😻(purr!)  I put that effect because she made my feline come to attention and that my readers is why I love romance.  This romance has been building in the background since the previous book and it pulled me in with Julian and Kristen's chemistry. Julian, a billionaire Sinclair of course, has come to claim his prize in the form a red headed woman named Kristen.  Kristen is a woman who has so many responsibilities that it is sad.  Her mom has MS and her father has to take care of her which leaves Kristen to run the family-owned bar alone.  The story starts when Julian, literally, kidnaps Kristen and whisks her to his brother's wedding.  After wak...

Author:  Hope Ramsay Release date:  March 28, 2017 Rating:  5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆ This was a beautiful, romance staring the broody Dusty and not so rich anymore Amy.  I do not know where to start with praising this book, so I will start with my inner feelings. This book made me feel good and it exemplified love, patience, and determination.  Hands down, this is one the best books that I have ever read in 2017.  I have never read a book by this author before and the book perfectly demonstrates why you should read books by indie authors.  I enjoyed myself while reading this book and it is a real page turner and with each page, the story gets better and better.  It did not have to have the racy, hot bedrooms scenes, which I love, to stand on its own.  It had just enough heat to make its point and it did not rely heavily on sex.  Most romance books rely on sex scenes to allure  readers and when a romance book comes along like this one, I ...
