Homecoming Ranch by Julia London

Author: Julia London
Release Date:  August 13, 2013
Rating:  5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I honestly do not remember purchasing this book, but I am glad I did. Homecoming ranch is a delight. 2018 has been all about small town romances for me so far and I am loving it. In this story we have well organized , 6-inch stilettos wearing Madeline, a great real estate agent who is summoned to Colorado to lay claim to a ranch that she inherited from her father, whom she did not know existed, along with her two unknown sisters. On the other hand, we have Luke, an ambitious, selfless builder with a heavy burden on his back, his family.  Luke has a terminally ill brother named Leo and with his father desperate for some cash to pay for Leo's care, he takes a second mortgage on his ranch with his best friend whom is Madeline's absent father. Luke's father made a huge mistake by making an oral contract instead of an actual written contract, so due to Grant's death, there is no proof of the buy-back that Luke's father spoke of.  To make up for being an absent father, Grant leaves the ranch to his three unsuspecting daughters.  In comes Luke, looking to get the ranch back for his father and sick, but awesome brother. Madeline is just here to fix the ranch to sell it and Luke just wants the opportunity to get the ranch back to his family.  Sparks fly and Madeline finds love in the most unexpected place.

The slow simmer of their relationship was everything for me.  Their chemistry was unbelievable and their first sex scene was passionate.  I loved them together and I also loved the conflict that existed between the two.  The characters developed throughout the story and I grew to love Madeline and her stuck up ways. LOL. She developed from an emotionally closed off character to a woman who was willing to allow herself to be loved.  Luke was an angel because he dropped everything to help his family and I loved him so much for it.

I recommend this book.  Go pick it up.!  👍👍👍👍👍

Riding Hard by Laura Landish

Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
