Accounting for Love by Erin Wright

Author:  Erin Wright
Release Date:  March 14, 2018
Rating:  4 Cowboy Stars 🤠🤠🤠🤠

What can I say?  I have a weakness for broody cowboys with huge "chips" on their shoulders and a rocking hot bod to go with it. Stetson was so hot, rude and he knew how to get his hands dirty. Stetson is a livestock rancher who is in default on his loan.  The bank's last attempt to get their money comes in the form of Lindsay, an auditor for the bank. Lindsay's job is to audit the farm's records to see if there are any stones left unturned where money is concerned.  Stetson hates Lindsay's guts from the jump and he does not want some "woman" in his life or his farm rummaging through his things. I loved his relationship with his housekeeper and the respect that he had for her.

The family dynamic was intense with Stetson and his older brothers.  I felt every emotion that these brothers were feeling and when they had a that big fight…I had to grab me some popcorn because I was right in the room with them.  I have to give the author props on her writing style.  It was lively, raw, and complex with a dash of heat to keep me in the story.  The characters were well developed and I was able to get to know the characters and their personalities.   The pacing was perfect and I was not taken out of the story once.  It flowed like the sound on an angel's harp.  Was that too much?  Well….I wanted to say "flow like water", but that phrase is so over used.

Anyways,  the chemistry between Stetson and Lindsay was undeniable electric, and their personalities bounced off of each other. They started off hating each other, but eventually the line between love and hate became quite blurry. And when I say the cowboy fell hard, I mean he fell hard and it was so endearing and adorable.  The tougher they are, the harder they fall and I, myself, enjoyed every word on the page.

There is this weird thing  about this story were it feels like the author is building up to something but nothing happens.  I know it's weird, but I was really waiting for the other shoe to drop with Lindsay and her boss, but to no avail.  The set up was there along with the touch of suspense, but nothing happened.  In contrary, I loved the ending and I laughed and cried in the same breath.

Riding Hard by Laura Landish

Author:  Laura Landish Release Date:   March 26, 2019 What is it about quiet, broody cowboys that drives us women wild?   Is it the foul mouth or the panty dropping tone?   Whatever it may be, it is in this book.   I think I lost my religion while reading this book because it was so dirty. Grrrr.!!   My inner cheetah, yes cheetah because they are my favorite cat, came out… 😻I mean Wow.!! Okay let’s get to the meat of this cowboy stew shall we. Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
