Here Comes the Bride by Hope Ramsay

Author: Hope Ramsay
Release Date:  August 29, 2017
Rating: 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once again Hope Ramsay creates a story that touches the heart with her second book in the Chapel of love Series.  I wholeheartedly enjoyed this read and it especially touched my heart because I am going through a break-up myself after eight years. This story uplifted me and I could not have read a more better book at this point in my life.  There were tears, laughs, and some heat to carry this story and Laurie was a great heroine and she gave this story some realism. Laurie has suffered the most humiliating that can happen to a bride on her wedding day.  She was left at the altar by the man that she has been with for the last ten years and to her surprise the best man comes to her aid.  Andrew is stuck between a rock and a hard place because the groom that ran out of his own wedding is his best friend and the bride is his boss's daughter.  Forced to set Laurie up on some dates to get under Brandon's skin, Andrew starts to develop feelings that he hadn't felt in ages.

I do not know if I said this before but…I loved this story.  It was fast paced and the chemistry between the main characters was electric.  Even though the thought of Andrew getting it on with his best friend's ex-fiancé rubbed me the wrong way,  the author writes the thoughts of Andrew so well that you really root for Andrew to get the girl.  The secondary characters added humor to this story and it also added that family dynamic and drama.  Andrew was not an alpha, but he was a level-headed hero who wore his feelings on his sleeves and I absolutely adored him.  Laurie was a character trying to find herself after a break-up and towards the end I wanted to knock her down, but fortunately she regains her senses and makes this book nice gift with a silver bow.

The only flaw that I could even find in this book was the last scene.  I would have like a better conclusion with Brandon, Laurie, and Andrew, but other than that the book was solid and I most definitely recommend this book.  Hope Ramsay has a talent of writing a beautiful love story full of heart.

Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
