Hot Shot by Kelly Jamieson

Author:  Kelly Jamieson
Release date:  May 16, 2017
Rating:  4 Stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

I give this book four smoking, caliente stars because Marco is a shot that I do not mind taking straight.  Hot Shot is a story about two insecure individuals who come together and find love, acceptance, self-confidence. Former Navy Seal hottie Marco is as hot as it gets and I absolutely loved him in this story. He was straight forward and went after what he wanted.  I did not read the first book in the series and that did not take away the enjoyment.  Every character was introduced marvelously and this story was brought to life with compelling characters and a good love story.  I enjoyed the characters' journey to finding love and this story also had some heat to balance it.   The characters were very compatible and I could not get enough of the sizzling chemistry between Marco and  Carrie.  The characters were well developed with Marco being a character looking for a family and  Carrie wanting to feel a part of hers.

One of the things that I did not like about the story was how much of a pushover Carrie was for her family.  Carrie was one of those characters that had a big heart and comes from a family that is very distinguished.  She was simply a model and felt like she did not live up to their accomplishments, but when you get to know her family you see that they love her very much.

The sex scenes were too long.!! It took the author 5 pages to write a sex scene and it was full of cheesy phrases. I was thinking, "Let's get to the dirty stuff". 😏

This is a recommended read and this story is full of heart, compassion, and a sprinkle of sex.  Pick this story up and get ready to fall in love with a Navy seal.

Riding Hard by Laura Landish

Summer of Seduction

Saving Jake by Sharon Sala

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series.  The book was so good that I thought it was a stand-alone novel.!!  This book tells the story of Jake and Laurel (which makes me think of "Arrow") and tells the story of how they became to accept each other's painful past and learning how to move forward with love.  This book is a wonderful example of storytelling and I enjoyed myself while reading this book.  The way the author tells this story makes it entertaining in a classy, simple way and I could not have asked for a better story.  This story gripped my heart and I was surprised by the chemistry that jumped off of the pages when it came to Jake and Laurel.  Laurel's daughter, Bonnie, just makes this book even more sweet than it already is.  I really miss when books were written like this and there is no specific point of view and it allows the author to explore different characters.  By allowing different charact...
